Using Quality Wristbands for an End-of-School-Year Field Day

As any administrator knows, keeping field days organized is key! One way to do that is with custom-printed wristbands. They’ll provide teachers and kids alike with a visual way of remaining with their given teams.

Field Day Wristbands

Add some flair to the day! You can allow teams to create their own designs, hold an all-school contest to choose everyone’s favorite logo, or use an image of your school’s icon or mascot. To differentiate teams, choose different colored backgrounds or images. At the end of the fun, they’ll serve as souvenirs of the best day ever.

Getting Students Involved in the Design: Teachers can get kids into their teams and ask them to work together to decide on a name, a color, and a design or logo for their team. Then, provide them with stickers, stencils, and pictures for inspiration. This activity can set the tone for the whole day and foster a sense of teamwork and creative thinking even before the kids get outside. Your field day’s durable, waterproof wristbands will withstand the wear and tear and be something the kids can hang on to!

Activity Ideas: Whatever you’re playing, color-coded wristbands will keep your teams organized on this fun yet chaotic day. Classic games like tag and a safe, less physical version of Red Rover lend themselves to colored team wristbands. They make it easy to join smaller groups together to create bigger teams. Other games like kickball and even fun trivia games use knowledge learned throughout the school year. Ask your kids what games they’d like for their field day — their ideas may surprise you! Whatever you choose, identifying and organizing your students based on easily visible wristbands will make transitioning from game to game easy!

Turning the Wristbands into Keepsakes: Extend the fun and plan arts and crafts activities that use the wristbands from the day. For example, it could be as simple as mounting the wristbands on colored construction paper that the kids may decorate. Another idea is to go with a more involved project like creating a pencil holder or wallet out of wristbands.

Keeping large, active school events organized and fun is very important to creating a safe, efficient, and fair day for all. Event wristbands are a great way to achieve a successful school event!
